Jeremy M. Marden
Jeremy M. Marden is an honors graduate of Camden Rockport High School and the University of Southern Maine, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2001 with a B.A. in Criminology. Jeremy received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maine School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2004. After his admission to the Maine Bar, Jeremy returned to mid-coast Maine and co-founded the law firm of Mailloux & Marden, P.A., in April of 2008.
Jeremy serves as counsel to several local governments, a role that has generated significant experience in complex litigation and regulatory matters affecting municipalities. Jeremy also maintains a busy real estate transaction practice, issuing title insurance as a licensed agent of First American Title Insurance Company, and has brought a number of property disputes to successful resolution at trial and on appeal. He has an active business law practice, both aiding in the creation of commercial entities and representing clients in civil litigation, and has experience in drafting and litigating commercial contracts. Jeremy routinely handles family law and probate matters as well, and has obtained financial compensation for a number of people suffering from personal injury.
Jeremy is a current member of the Maine State Bar Association, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, and the Waldo County Bar Association, and a former member of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of the Waldo County YMCA, and as President of the Belfast Lions Club. When he is not practicing law, Jeremy spends the majority of his time with his wife and two boys.
